Our Aims

CEASE UK is currently being set up as a registered UK charity.

CEASE UK stands for the Centre to End All Sexual Exploitation.

That is our aim: to see an end to everything from CSE, sex trafficking and prostitution to the vast global pornography and sexual entertainment industries that legitimise the abuse.

We will seek to achieve our aims through:

  1. Lobbying: campaigning to end laws and policies that facilitate sexual exploitation.
    2. Collaboration: unifying the movement so that diverse charities, organisations and individuals can come together in mutual support.
3.Education: raising awareness of the links between all forms of sexual exploitation and to fight it through programs of outreach, education and engagement with the media.

In standing against sexual exploitation, we stand for equality, justice and human dignity.

Fiona Bruce, MP

“Prostitution and the commercial sex industry are intrinsically linked with modem slavery. As we have heard, the market for commercial sex operates as a pull for traffickers and organised crime groups.”

Report by UN Commission on Human Rights Special Rapporteur on Trafficking in Persons, Sigma Huda

“It is rare that one finds a case in which the path to prostitution … [does] not involve, at the very least, an abuse of power and or an abuse of vulnerability. Power and vulnerability in this context must be understood to include power disparities based on gender, race, ethnicity, and poverty.”

Catharine Mackinnon

“…when fear and despair produce acquiescence and acquiescence is taken to mean consent, consent is not a meaningful concept.”
