There are 40 million victims of human trafficking per year worldwide. 10 million of them are children.

CEASE UK supports Free a Girl, who strive for a world free of sexual exploitation of children. Every child has the right to grow up in a safe environment. All children around the world must be protected against every form of exploitation.

To achieve this, they cooperate with local women’s and children’s rights-focused partner organizations and rescue teams fighting sexual exploitation of children and the impunity of offenders. Together, they intervene in the whole cycle, through 6 different objectives; Prevention, Rescues, Tackling Impunity, Rehabilitation, Reintegration, and Lobbying & Advocacy.

On a yearly basis, there are 2 million child victims of sexual exploitation, but not even 1% of perpetrators are being convicted.

Free a Girl is launching the initiative ‘Voice for Justice‘, in which well-known women are speaking up for one School for Justice student from Nepal by reading out a part of her legal complaint.

Free a Girl is calling on all women to donate their voice. Together we need to fight against impunity. By donating your voice, you are supporting child survivors of sexual exploitation and encouraging them to file a complaint against their perpetrators and bring them to justice.

Donated testimonies will be put together into a huge audio-file, which will become a first-of-its-kind aural petitioning tool. This will be used to lobby governmental bodies in Asia, and presented to key authorities across the world at the end of the campaign. The complete audio-file containing all the donated voices will also be shared with participants of the initiative and presented to Renuka and other survivors to show how many women have joined the cause – encouraging them to go to the police and file a lawsuit, knowing they are supported by women around the world.

Worldwide, around 10% of the reported cases of sexual exploitation of children go on trial, and can further extend for 5 to 9 years.

The School for Justice is a program that educates child survivors of sexual exploitation to become lawyers, journalists, para-legal assistances, social workers, psychologists and police officers with a furious determination to help young girls facing similar fates, and to change the system from within. Students at the School for Justice are also given the tools to become spokespeople who raise awareness about sexual exploitation of children (SEC) and impunity in India, Nepal and worldwide to mobilize society to stand up against this crime and rally behind their girls.
